Several dozen tar balls were in the Gulf and on the shoreline tonight during sunset. Most were dark brown in color and pliable. A few were darker yet some were more brittle. Two years after the BP disaster we still have oil washing onto our beaches and buried in our sand. We are grateful that BP crews are still out addressing these serious findings and that the USCG continues to hold them accountable for clean up.
