Incident Report Description

Tarballs were found along the shoreline near the Pensacola Pier on Saturday. Many people were out enjoying the beach with their families, yet they were playing in and walking on freshly deposited oil which had likely been churned up by hurricane Isaac.
UV light technology was used to find the oil during sunset and after dark. Under UV, the oil will glow or fluoresce an orange hue. The sand will appear a purple tone and the shells will glow white.
Credibility: UP  DOWN  4
