Incident Report Description

A gentleman came to my office today because I file BP Claims and he thought that we were the BP Oil company. He reported to us that he found a big chunk of oil on the beach in Sunset Beach Florida today approximately 1 hour ago.

Thanks for this report. If that is a big tarball it's probably not from the 2010 BP spill, but there have been some small spills reported in the Tampa area lately (see http://alerts.skytruth.org/?l=27.3734,-83.1418,28.1633,-82.1805) and there was a very bad spill there back in 1993 (http://baysoundings.com/sum03/spill.html).
